Partnerships
HEARD is facilitating meaningful partnerships at both the global and country levels to better understand government-led efforts to improve policies and programs based on Violence Against Children Survey (VACS) results. We are working with these partners to support, test and evaluate innovative models and interventions to end violence against children across countries and contexts.
At the global level, HEARD is working closely with the Together for Girls Leadership Council, which includes the major technical and funding partners of VACS to date. The Leadership Council is an advisory body to Together for Girls that helps define the common agenda of the partnership, identify mutually-reinforcing activities, and facilitate on-going communication. A sub-group of the Leadership Council regularly provides guidance and support to HEARD efforts. Leadership Council members work with VACS at both the global and country levels and will also be engaged with country partners in HEARD-supported work.
At the country level, HEARD is strengthening existing mechanisms while reinforcing local leadership. The section below highlights the partners engaged in Colombia, the first country identified for direct HEARD support. As additional countries are identified for direct support, their partnering organizations will be added.
